AVENGERS: Age of Ultron Review

Well I was lucky enough to attend Durban’s Avenger Premier, so my mind was pre-blown even before the movie itself.

But how was the movie you ask?

Well from the moment it start it pulls you deep into the action; taking periodic breaths for character development. Unlike the previous instalment the characters are really fleshed out by now. So rather than look into their pasts so much we get to learn more about the present off screen adventures much more.

The CGI is insane as ever and if you think the trailer gave away too much then think again. This movie is bigger in every way possible. But even on such a large scale it feels closer to home.  The threat feels much more real than the alien invasion, even the villains attack is more cerebral than burliness but that doesn’t mean it lacks action, believe me it has action by the spades.

The movie does have a few drawbacks, some action sequences felt rushed and a bit in your face, and I suppose that was meant to be that way to give a feeling of urgency however after the long wait I personally wanted to savour each moment.

In the end it’s a fantastic movie that is going to shatter box office records and have fans salivating for more (yes even those hard-core DC fan boys) well if its sister competition doesn’t scoop those records for itself.
